“I’m a big fan of Nigerian singers, Davido and Wizkid” – Liverpool defender, Virgil Van Dijk


Dutch and English club, Liverpool defender, Virgil Van Dijk has revealed that he’s a big fan of Nigerian singers, Davido and Wizkid.
The 28-year-old who is currently the UEFA Men’s player of the year and first defender to win the award revealed this in an interview session with Simon Crabtree through a video calling app.
He said,

“I listen to a lot of Afrobeat music particularly by Nigerian musicians. I love Wizkid and Davido. I know you might not know them just go check them out.”
The Liverpool star is apparently a big of Afrobeat in general but particularly likes Nigerian musicians which is quite cool to realize that borders and language didn’t affect the musical choice of the footballer.

Actor, Idris Elba has been seen in London for the first time since recovering from his battle with coronavirus. The 47-year-old, along with his wife Sabrina Dhowre Elba, 30, tested positive for a ‘very mild’ strain of the coronavirus in March but has now fully recovered. Idris was spotted enjoying a walk near his home on Saturday, after he and wife Sabrina returned from self-isolating in New Mexico last month, where Elba was filming when he became ill. Putting on a casual display for the outing, the Luther star looked relaxed as he strolled through his neighbourhood as part of his daily exercise during lockdown. Federal Government receives $311m Abacha loot from US and Bailiwick of Jersey

In new trending reports, the Federal government has received the sum of $311,797,866.11 which is the third tranche of the former head of state, late General Sani Abacha loot, from the United States and the Bailiwick of Jersey. Attorney-General of Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, revealed this in a statement released earlier today May 4th, 2020 by his Special Assistant on Media and Public Relations, Dr Umar Gwandu. According to Malami, the amount increased significantly from over $308 million mentioned in an earlier statement in February to over $311million as a result of the interest that accrued from February 3 to April 28, when the fund was transferred to the Central Bank of Nigeria. President  Muhammadu Buhari   has ordered a total lockdown of Kano State. This comes after a number of mysterious deaths in the past two weeks rocked the ancient city.
