Nigerian Comedian and Actor, Ayo Makun has taken to his social media page to share deep thoughts on the condition of things as the country battles to contain the coronavirus pandemic
AY noted that the country is currently fighting two main pandemics which are ; Coronavirus and Hunger virus.
Makun wrote on twitter ;
“All we keep hearing daily is “STAY AT HOME”.The rich wants the poor to stay home to avoid the spread of Corvid19, but HUNGER VIRUS won’t allow the poor to stay home.We can only control d spread of d virus when the rich helps the poor by providing enough food to stay at home.”

Head of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has urged Nigerians to remain indoors if they want to be safe from the deadly Coronavirus currently ravaging most countries of the world today. While giving a sermon on Sunday in a broadcast, Adeboye said citizens obeying guidelines put in place by the government was the best way the virus could be defeated. He said, “There are categories of power. There is political power. Ecclesiastes 8:4 says where the word of a king is, there is power. You put it in the modern language, where the word of the President is, there is power. “If you don’t believe that, just check what is happening now. The President sits in his house and makes a decree or pronouncement, everybody stay at home, and if you love yourself, stay at home.” So far, Nigeria has 1182 confirmed cases of Coronavirus and 35 recorded deaths. Also, 222 persons have been discharged after making recoveries from the virus.

Nigerian Reggae Music star,Majek Fashek Dies At Age 57

Nigerian music legend, Majekodunmi Fasheke, popularly known as Majek Fashek, has died. The reggae king’s death was confirmed by his manager Omenka Uzoma, via his  social media page . Uzoma said; “Today been having pressure calls, well it is true that the African No 1 Legendary ICON has gone to be with the LORD his Maker”. Majek was a Nigerian singer-songwriter and guitarist. He is best known  for the 1988 album Prisoner of Conscience, which included the multiple award-winning single “Send Down the Rain”

First patients injected as UK begins Coronavirus vaccine trial

The first human trial in Europe of a coronavirus vaccine has begun in Oxford. Two volunteers were injected out of more than 800 people recruited for the study. Elisa Granato, pictured above, is a scientist and was the first volunteer to be injected. Elisa said she volunteered because she wanted to try to support the scientific process. Half of those who volunteered will receive the Covid-19 vaccine, and half a control vaccine which protects against meningitis but not coronavirus. The design of the trial means volunteers will not know which vaccine they are getting, though doctors will. The vaccine was developed in under three months by a team at Oxford University. Sarah Gilbert, professor of vaccinology at the Jenner Institute, led the pre-clinical research. “Personally I have a high degree of confidence in this vaccine,” she said. “Of course, we have to test it and get data from humans. Kanye West has officially become a Billionaire, making him the second American rapper to reach that status after Jay-Z. According to Forbes, ’Ye’s Yeezy brand, which he owns in its’ entirety and falls under the Adidas umbrella, helped push him over the $1 billion mark. The publication said they dissected the Chicago rapper’s success with Yeezy, while also sharing how they tabulated Kanye’s net worth. Nonetheless, a decent portion of Kanye’s net worth can be attributed to his royalty agreement with Adidas. West receives a “royalty around 15% of Yeezy revenue from Adidas. Upon closer inspection, it appears some expenses are carved out of that slice, bringing his actual cut closer to 11 percent.
