Lockdown: Couple hold online wedding ceremony




Due to the Coronavirus lockdown, a couple decided to have an online wedding to give their family members the opportunity to ”attend” their wedding.
Twitter user @KiyaniBba, who is the younger sister of the groom, shared the story online.
She wrote;
‘Today was my big bro’s wedding. Because of the virus, only the bride, groom and their witnesses were allowed in the room. As the official CTO of my family, I suggested that we set up a Zoom so that our relatives and friends could join us. I present you the first Zoom Wedding.
We had more than 45 people from France, CIV, Netherlands, SA, Calgary, etc. I muted everyone during the ceremony and recorded everything using zoom. People cried during the vows, at the end I unmuted them and all at the same time they applauded and congratulated the newlyweds’

Actor, Idris Elba has been seen in London for the first time since recovering from his battle with coronavirus. The 47-year-old, along with his wife Sabrina Dhowre Elba, 30, tested positive for a ‘very mild’ strain of the coronavirus in March but has now fully recovered. Idris was spotted enjoying a walk near his home on Saturday, after he and wife Sabrina returned from self-isolating in New Mexico last month, where Elba was filming when he became ill. Putting on a casual display for the outing, the Luther star looked relaxed as he strolled through his neighbourhood as part of his daily exercise during lockdown. Idris wore a simple black logo T-shirt that fit loosely on his torso, and which he paired with faded denim jeans. Federal Government receives $311m Abacha loot from US and Bailiwick of Jersey

In new trending reports, the Federal government has received the sum of $311,797,866.11 which is the third tranche of the former head of state, late General Sani Abacha loot, from the United States and the Bailiwick of Jersey. Attorney-General of Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, revealed this in a statement released earlier today May 4th, 2020 by his Special Assistant on Media and Public Relations, Dr Umar Gwandu. According to Malami, the amount increased significantly from over $308 million mentioned in an earlier statement in February to over $311million as a result of the interest that accrued from February 3 to April 28, when the fund was transferred to the Central Bank of Nigeria. Malami stated that the latest recovery would support and assist in expediting the construction of three major infrastructure projects across Nigeria – Lagos – Ibadan Expressway, Abuja – Kano Road, and the Second Niger Bridge. President  Muhammadu Buhari   has ordered a total lockdown of Kano State. This comes after a number of mysterious deaths in the past two weeks rocked the ancient city.
