A Nigerian model on Twitter has lambasted RnB singer,  Beyoncé  of using African culture for personal gains without Africa benefitting from it. The model @Dimssoo on the social networking platform also accused the American singer of being part of the people who contribute to the misrepresentation of Africa through her songs, thereby giving people the impression that  “Africa is this place where we wake up in the morning and tie our wrapper and put chalk on our face and scream ‘WAKANDA’ then go and hunt lions.” Dimssoo said it’s misrepresentations like these that makes African Americans and other people ponder if Africa has WiFi. Media personality, Toke Makinwa, has taken to her social media page to pen an open letter to women advising them to seek financia freedom. Toke Makinwa. In her letter, Toke pointed out that it is nice to have help and even come from wealthy homes but it is important for women to start believing that wealth is not Gender-based. Her words; Dear woman, i see you, you rock. Keep raising the bar, keep shattering the ceiling. Keep pushing that envelope. Financial freedom is a ”must” for us women. Being able to do for yourself certainly has to be the goal. It’s nice to have help, it’s nice to come from wealth but it is importatnt to raise women to believe that wealth is not gender based. I am super proud of all the women out there steady building. I bought my dream home at 35. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has issued a statement on the arrest of alleged fraudster and socialite, Ray Hushpuppy. The anti-graft commission disclosed that Hushpuppy has a case to answer over his involvement in a multi-million dollar fraud. On the day African American  George Floyd  was laid to rest, Texas Southern University announced it would be giving a full scholarship to the deceased’s 6-year-old. The death of Floyd while being held down by the Police spurred global demands for an end to police brutality. TSU’s Board of Regents, with its foundation board,  “has approved a fund to provide a full scholarship for Floyd’s beloved daughter, Gianna,”  the university announced in a social media post. “TSU’s executive and academic staff will prepare a place for Miss Floyd if she wishes to attend the University.” Late George Floyd was born in North Carolina and grew up in Houston, where he graduated from Jack Yates High School in the shadow of TSU.
